Your litter will be in our care for a minimum of 4 weeks and a maximum of 8 weeks. Pick-up can be arranged between 4 & 8 weeks of age.

For natural birth whelpings, having your bitch begin her stay 2 weeks prior to her due date is recommended. This is to help with an easy transition reducing overall stress prior to delivery. Transportation will be provided by us to all previously scheduled vet visits leading up to delivery.

For C-Section births, making 2 to 3 visits with your bitch prior to delivery to help establish familiarity to her future environment is recommended.

Special arrangements can always be made to meet yours and your litter’s needs. Contact us so we can create a customized whelping plan for you and your litter.

Included in your whelping:

• Crate Training

• Potty Training

• Crate training will begin at 4 weeks of age and potty training begins as early as 3 weeks of age.

We have had exceptional success with these two basic training fundamentals with every litter whose come through our doors.

• 8 week old puppies leave our home 100% potty trained.

• 8 week old puppies are comfortable laying down for a nap for age appropriate durations in their crates.

We offer professional photography of litter’s throughout the whelping.

• Photos are taken once a week, and can be taken more frequently upon request.

• Photographs are free to our clients with our watermark. Watermark is to not be altered and must remain visible if client chooses to post or use for advertising, sales, etc.

• Photos may be purchased without watermark for $50 a photo.

• If you would like text, logos, or designs added to your photos, this can be added for a $10 fee.

Any and all photographs produced by A Whelping Hand may not used for any purpose if not previously purchased and/or AWH watermark is not clearly visible on the photograph. This is including but not limited to sales, advertisement, fundraisers, non-profit gains, rehoming, profit, etc.
